What is a BDE Course?
BDE stands for Beginner Driver Education. A BDE course teaches young drivers the necessary driving skills and driver attitudes needed to become a responsible and safe driver on the roadways. A BDE course must be approved by the provincial government - Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
BDE vs BDE +
STEP 1
Students must successfully complete the interactive 30-hour digital curriculum online before proceeding to the in-car lessons.
STEP 2
Students will complete 10 hours of one-on-one in-car lessons with a provincially approved Driving Instructor and a Former Driver Examiner.
STEP 3
Upon successful completion students will pick-up their insurance certificate by hand from any Service Ontario Location.
STEP 4
Your Driving Instructor will help guide you towards booking your Official G2 Road Test at a local Drive Test Center.

Did You Know?
You must pass street cars on the right unless you are travelling on a one-way road. When stopping at a street car, you must stay at least 2 metres behind the rear doors where passengers are getting off.
